Globalization is a process of cultural, economic, biological or political integration where usually developing countries are influenced by developed ones.
There are contradicting opinions regarding globalization. Some social scientists believe that globalization will ultimately lead to a perfect world society, Utopia. On the other hand, others believe that it will harm the less economically developed cultures. So that’s the reason why the globalization has it controversy.
In fact, it seems to have an old history which can be traced to 320 BCE, when the Maurya Empire in India has been established. It has developed the international commerce between Asia and Europe, so certainly it is referred to the economic and social globalization.
As we can see, globalization has its advantages and disadvantages, just like anything else in the world. Let’s begin by the advantages, as we can watch televisions and hear radios all over the world we do exchange different cultural between many people in different continents. In addition, through internet people now can talk and chat and share different thoughts of different cultures and also can go into the market and do the commerce between them. Also due to the immigration in different nations and marriage between people from different countries increase and create traditional cultures.
On the other hand, the exchanging of factories might influence negatively on the environment, which might be the major disadvantage of globalization. From my point of view, I do not think or believe that globalization can block or impede the development of developing countries but actually by contradictory it will improve and facilitate for those countries to develop much more and faster, as we said some of the advantages of the globalization.
In my opinion, benefits of the globalization can’t be counted. It totally helps a country under development to develop and earn a higher position such in economics and cultural and political.
